Fans of Outlander can’t wait to find out what happens to the Fraser family in the show’s midseason finale, which airs in a couple of days.
The teaser for the season 7 part 1 finale and the online discussion around it suggest that the show’s conclusion might go in any number of unexpected directions.
There’s no telling what will go down in this week’s eighth episode of season 7, which airs this Friday (11th August) after a trailer failed to show a conscious Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan), more bloody battles, and Roger (Richard Rankin) and Brianna (Sophie Skelton) facing up to a terrible reality.
According to Maril Davis, Outlander’s executive producer, anything might happen in the future. Davis told RadioTimes.com exclusively before the season’s midpoint conclusion, “I mean, I loved it.”
She went on to say, “Of course, with Brianna, Roger, and Buck, ending their story at such a heartbreaking juncture.” The thought that your child is located in another time and place is terrifying, I can tell you that much. To me, that’s the perfect way to end the first half of the season and leave viewers wanting more.
And yes, it’s true that everything is up in the air. Now that we’re in our last season, anything may happen.
In the penultimate episode of Season 7, Part 1, Jamie fights in the decisive Second Battle of Saratoga, while in the 1980s, Roger and Brianna keep looking for their kidnapped son Jemmy, who was snatched by their so-called friend Rob Cameron (Chris Fulton).
Roger and Bri’s lives are disrupted in Outlander 7×07 by a shocking kidnapping.
Sam Heughan, star of Outlander, thinks the potential success of a prequel is even higher.
What about Roger and Bri, though? Can they get their kid back? The answer to that question will be revealed in the season finale, but series star Sophie Skelton has already told RadioTimes.com exclusively that viewers of Outlander are in for a “tough ride” this year, and she’s not wrong.
She remarked, “That’s one thing I think we’re really priding ourselves on now for Outlander and really leaning into it – the storylines aren’t necessarily the expected ones.”
