'1883' by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill is no longer just available for streaming

The limited series Yellowstone prequel will air on the Paramount Network for a special broadcast in June, so fans seeking to return to the world of 1883 this summer are in luck.

The program will provide a complete retelling of the 10 episodes of 1883, which aired between December 2021 and February 2022, according to Deadline.

The show follows an earlier generation of the Dutton family as they fight ahead on a harsh westward trek through the American frontier in hopes of finding the promised land in Montana.

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill play James and Margaret Dutton, the show's primary characters.

The program, which was developed by Yellowstone's Taylor Sheridan, first debuted as the history of the Yellowstone Ranch, describing how the family came to possess the property around which Yellowstone's storylines are based.

Sam Elliott, Billy Bob Thornton, Isabel May, and more actors can be seen in 1883. According to a report from Deadline, the new Paramount Network broadcast would have "extended featurettes at the end of each episode."

Following the disclosure that Yellowstone will end after Season 5, information about the new broadcast was released. Currently halfway through that season,

the popular hit show has taken a break before returning in November 2023 with the much awaited fifth season.
