In the majority of love relationships between MCU characters, disaster or sadness befalls one or both heroes.

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, tragic or heartbreaking endings to romantic relationships seem to be the norm.

In the comic books, almost every Marvel superhero has a romantic interest, and their on-screen equivalents have done the same. 

Even characters like Loki and Hulk, whose love lives weren't very important to their stories, as well as those who were already in committed relationship

have acquired new romantic interests in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Unfortunately, in the franchise, relationships don't always work out.
