In Pittsburgh This weekend, former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown will play for
the Albany Empire in the Arena League, and he's trying to bring a former NFL MVP with him.
The former Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is being courted by Brown to play football once more,
this time in the Arena Football League, according to Rodger Wyland of the WNYT.
The question of whether Brown personally owns any interest in the Empire is still up for debate.
There has been some debate regarding whether Brown genuinely owns a portion of the franchise.
He still participates regularly in group discussions and decisions, so if he agrees, adding Newton to the roster is probably no problem.
Newton, who is 34 years old, is looking for a new place in the NFL and is willing to serve as a backup.
