Brittney Griner changes her mind about the national anthem for her WNBA comeback.

Brittney Griner, a star for the Phoenix Mercury, will play her first game of the regular season on Friday night against the Los Angeles Sparks.

Her agent said that when she comes back, she will change how she acts during the national anthem before the game starts.

Griner missed the 2022–23 WNBA season because she was jailed in Russia for nine months.

Before that, she didn't like the national anthem being played before games.

She kneeled during the national anthem at her last WNBA game and even said in 2020 that it shouldn't be played at WNBA games.

But she seems to have changed her mind since she went back to the U.S. after trading with Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout.

In her final game in the WNBA, she took a knee during the playing of the national anthem and even went so far as to suggest that it should not be sung at WNBA games in the year 2020.

she returned to the United States following a deal with the Russian arms merchant Viktor Bout.
