Over the weekend, an incident occurred at Chris Rock's home that was not amusing.
According to TMZ, the comedian phoned the cops after noticing a stranger on his fire escape who looked to be filming him in his Manhattan home.
The NYPD will not reveal the caller's identity, but confirmed to EW that about 8 p.m. on Sunday,
a 58-year-old male victim told police that he saw via his window a person outside on the fire escape who appeared to be filming.
The subject had fled the scene when officers arrived, according to authorities. There have been no arrests,
and the inquiry is still underway. Rock representatives did not immediately respond to EW's request for comment on Monday.
The suspected attacker was observed jumping to the ground, getting into a white Mercedes, and fleeing the area, according to TMZ.
According to a separate allegation in the New York Post, the suspect, who is believed to be in his twenties, was dressed in a dark jacket and pink Crocs.
