Jayson Tatum twists ankle in Game 7's first minute, stays in game.

For Jayson Tatum, the Eastern Conference Finals Game 7 started differently than expected.

On the game's first possession, the star player for the Celtics drove to the basket while avoiding Gabe Vincent.

Vincent was called for a blocking foul, but Tatum landed on his foot, severely twisting Vincent's left ankle.

Tatum continued to play but was obviously in discomfort as he only made one of his two free throws.

The powerful daytime pair is back at it. Kelly Ripa, 52, told a personal story to fans on a recent episode of Live with Kelly and Mark (which made her husband giggle).

Tatum eventually took a break for the remaining 4:11 of the quarter even though he wasn't receiving any ankle care.

Following that break, Tatum continued to play, demonstrating his willingness to play through the ankle injury in the most important game of the year.

Tatum obviously felt the effects of the injury despite playing through it. Tatum had only 12 points on 4-for-9 shooting at the end of the third quarter, 32 minutes into the game.
