Jimmie Allen apologizes to his estranged wife for a 'affair' amid allegations of sexual assault.

Last week, Allen's former manager filed a lawsuit against him for assault and sexual abuse.

On Thursday, Jimmie Allen publicly apologized to his estranged wife Alexis Gale, one week after his former manager sued him for assault and sexual abuse.

"I want to publicly apologize to my wife Alexis for humiliating her with my affair," the 37-year-old singer began in his Thursday Instagram statement. 

"I'm ashamed that my decisions have caused her humiliation. That is something she absolutely did not deserve."

"I also want to apologize to my children for being a poor example of a man and father," 

Allen continued. "I am striving to improve myself so that my children can be proud of me. My objective is to surpass the generation that came before me."

The "Be Alright" singer continued, "The industry demands so much of you. It's full of things that can make you weak and destroy everything you've worked for. 

I regret not being strong enough to withstand them. I will no longer fall prey to my flaws."
