Many people were surprised to learn that Kim Cattrall will reprise her role as public relations guru Samantha Jones in the Sex and the City spinoff,
And Just Like That... — including journalist Decca Aitkenhead, who was told not to ask the actress about
the show when she interviewed her for the Sunday Times two weeks before Variety confirmed her cameo.
"I moved on," Cattrall said of the show's behind-the-scenes drama when asked by Aitkenhead.
"I believe that the best place to negotiate, regardless of the situation, is from strength and self-awareness."
Also, at this stage in my life, I don't want to be unhappy on set. I want it to be on terms that are both artistically satisfying and make me happy."
Cattrall, on the other hand, was confirmed this week to make an appearance as Samantha
who has moved to London and mostly lost touch with her gal pals — in the forthcoming Season 2 finale of And Just Like That..., which returns to the newly relaunched Max on June 22.
