Land Man: Taylor Sheridan's New Show

Yellowstone, the program that launched the Taylor Sheridan empire, may be wrapping up this year,

but that doesn't mean the constantly busy creator is taking a break. Sheridan's ongoing partnership with Paramount+ has produced 

A number of stand-alone shows in addition to his ever-expanding slate of Yellowstone prequels, sequels, and spinoffs. 

These include the second season of the Sylvester Stallone-starring drama Tulsa King, the spy thriller Lioness, and his newest podcast-inspired series, Land Man.

The West Texas-based show, which is based on the Boomtown podcast, will focus on "an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks 

wildcat billionaires that are fueling a boom so big it's reshaping our climate, our economy, and our geopolitics."

Here is what we currently know about the program.

Billy Bob Thornton was slated to play the role of Tommy Norris, a crisis manager for an oil corporation,
