Musk's Twitter Spaces crashes ruined Florida governor's 2024 campaign kickoff.

Ron DeSantis's campaign for the White House in 2024 got off to a bad start on Twitter, where the sound kept cutting out.

Wednesday night, the Twitter Spaces event crashed several times. Elon Musk, who owns Twitter, said that the computers seemed to be overwhelmed by how many people were trying to listen.

Donald Trump attacked Ron DeSantis on Truth Social, saying, "Wow! The launch of DeSanctus on Twitter is a DISASTER! The whole of his plan will fail. WATCH!”

Mr DeSantis officially entered the 2024 presidential race on Wednesday, after months of speculation, having filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission.

Mr. DeSantis, who is 44 years old, is seen as Mr. Trump's biggest rival for the Republican vote.

After the midterm elections, many Republican politicians and right-wing media backed him.

However, the latest polls show Mr DeSantis trailing Mr Trump.

This comes at a time when Mr. DeSantis is going to war with Disney and fighting back against the NAACP's warning to travelers that Florida's laws are "openly hostile" to Black people, people of color, and LGBT+ people.
