Netflix Starts Password Sharing Fee for U.S. Users—How Much?

American users must pay to share Stranger Things with non-household members.

Netflix stated on Tuesday that U.S. members using their account with someone outside the home will be charged $7.99 per month.

If your sibling or best friend wants to watch Eleven & Co. fight Vecna under your login and doesn't live with you, you'll have to pay.

The ad-supported, basic, standard, and premium Netflix plans cost $6.99, $9.99, $15.49, and $19.99, respectively

The ordinary plan allows one extra member, while the premium plan allows two.

The streamer's support page states that "ad-supported plans, partner packages, or third-party billed accounts" cannot add users.

Netflix banned password sharing in Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Argentina, and the Dominican Republic in August.

The streamer cracked down in Canada, New Zealand, Portugal, and Spain in January.
