NFL draft: Who is Browns QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson?

Cleveland Browns starting quarterback Deshaun Watson. We know. After serving an 11-game suspension last year, he will lead the team in 2023. Everyone knows this.

Every NFL club needs a capable backup. You must. Players get hurt often. Playing 17 games is unlikely with 300-pound+ players trying to pancake the QB.

Remember Steve Young backing up Joe Montana? Phil Simms' backup signalcaller was Jeff Hostetler? Case Keenum, with 62 NFL starts, backed up Baker Mayfield.

Dobbs lost both Tennessee starts. In Week 18, the Titans needed a win to make the playoffs.

He was a good game manager and went 20 for 29 for 179 yards with a touchdown and a pick as they led most of the game.

Dobbs made two NFL starts for Tennessee. He has 85 NFL passes, 50 completions, two touchdowns, and three interceptions. Mond attempted three throws in one NFL game.

With this in mind, GM Andrew Berry selected UCLA QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson in the fifth round of this year's NFL draft at #140.

Thompson-Robinson will study from the other quarterbacks for a year before becoming Watson's backup in 2024.
