Ryan Mason defends Richarlison against the ridicule of Callum Wilson and Michail Antonio.
Ryan Mason has criticized Callum Wilson and Michail Antonio for making fun of Tottenham forward Richarlison, and he believes the Brazilian will mute his detractors next season.
The £60 million acquisition has struggled throughout his first season with Spurs, scoring only three goals.
Richarlison has also had three goals disallowed, and in two of those instances, against Fulham and Nottingham Forest, he removed his shirt in celebration before being denied by the offside flag.
The former Everton striker scored the equalizer at Anfield in the Premier League last month, but his celebrations were cut short when Liverpool scored the game-winning goal in stoppage time.
Mason insisted, "As a coach, I wouldn't do it, and as a player, I've never done it." "I generally dislike that sort of thing. Everyone is doing their best. All of us are professionals.
"We're working diligently. We devote our lives to reaching this level and competing at this level, so I personally dislike this sort of behavior.
The 26-year-old missed a month of football due to a calf injury before the World Cup, and he endured a hamstring injury in Qatar that sidelined him at the start of 2023.
