Tony Stewart Lost $50,000 in One Sonoma Raceway Lap.

Over the course of his Hall of Fame career, Tony Stewart, a three-time NASCAR Cup Series winner,

had more than $200,000 in fines as a consequence of fights with other racers, spectators, and reporters.

Even though he amassed more than $122 million in winnings ,

over the course of his 18-year Cup Series career, 200 grand is still 200 grand.

Following an incident at the 2004 Dodge/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway ,

in which Stewart slapped Brian Vickers so hard it knocked the wind out of him,

a slap that ultimately cost NASCAR's "bad boy" a cool $50,000, Stewart received one of the largest fines of his career.

Stewart and Vickers started the 2004 Dodge/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway 20th and 25th, respectively.
